beautiful voice + instrumental talent + songwriting insight = Gregg Allman
As for other musicians, I don't know if it's so much that they're musicians or that they're artists. There's something special about a person who has a creative vision/idea that they are able to express physically through music, painting, writing, cooking, designing clothing, etc. (But on a purely materialistic level...have you ever watched a musician perform? Their hands can do wonderful things with those instruments...)
